We had such a great time at the Hauser & Wirth Somerset ‘Sound of Silent’ film festival, hosting 70 children and parents to Charlie Chaplin, and filling the big gallery with Yeovil’s Castaway Theatre Group’s Bugsy Malone cast workshopping how to make a film. Thanks to everyone there. You can see more here:

Next up we have the fabulous writer/producer of The Office, Goodness Gracious Me, Citizen Khan, Anil Gupta, talking after a screening of the original Mel Brooks film The Producers.

To celebrate International Towel Day next Thursday 25 May we are hosting a Child Friendly Pub Quiz after a screening of Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy at Wincanton Town Hall at 6pm. Douglas Adams wrote Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy in Stalbridge as he watched the glove factory being demolished opposite his mum’s house. His sister Sue Adams will introduce the film. In association with Wincanton’s Discworld Emporium we have some fabulous prizes for the quiz and a Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster for the winning team. Towel is necessary for entry (can be rented at the door). Extra quiz points for wearing a bathrobe.
