Six-week course, Tuesdays 7.30–9pm starting 18 April

This Six-week Introductory Training in Mindfulness will teach you to develop a focused and embodied attention, self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and a greater sense of ease and wellbeing. You will learn a variety of mindfulness meditations and practical ways to integrate mindfulness into daily activities at work, home and in relationships.
Each week we will explore a different theme of Mindfulness. All sessions will combine talks and experiential practice of the mindfulness techniques with feedback, discussion, handouts and homework.
We will learn to:
* train our attention and focus
* stay present and embodied
* reduce reactivity to experience
* encourage emotional intelligence
* notice thought patterns including self-judgment
* cultivate care and compassion towards ourselves and others
The course will require a commitment to regular weekly attendance as well as a short daily home practice.
Dates are: 18, 25 April, 2, 9, 16, 23 May.
