January 28 @ 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm
Camelot U3A are hosting a talk by Dr Matthew Denny on the subject of the market in antiques in the UK at Caryford Hall.
This talk will examine the changes in the market in recent times and explain why ‘no one wants to buy your wardrobe’. Here we consider what it is people do want to buy and look closely at the factors driving the current trends.
Matthew Denny has worked with fine and decorative arts all of his life and has been employed as an auctioneer and valuer with a number of firms. He is currently a senior valuer and head of department at Lawrences in Crewkerne, one of the countries leading provincial auctioneers.
