Join us at the studio for this fun and relaxed workshop where you will learn the principles of carving lino blocks and block printing onto paper, card or fabric to make uniquely designed handprinted natural cotton flax linen napkins, quality cards or gift tags. This is an artist and tutor led workshop guiding you through the therapeutic process of designing and creating original hand printed pieces. You will gain the skills required to create and lay out a design of choice and carve a printing block then learn the processes and techniques used to print onto paper card or fabric.
Limited funded workshop spaces are available so please book in advance to secure a place. Each low cost funded ticket price covers tuition, refreshments and all materials and tools provided. Delicious cake and tea are provided plus we have gluten and dairy free options available. Please state if you have any dietary requirements at the point of booking when asked about specific needs.
This workshop is part of our Creative Community Workshop series and focuses on the benefits of learning, participation and creativity for health and wellbeing. This workshop is subsidised by Somerset Skills & Learning with a small charge for materials. To qualify for a funded place you must be aged over 18 and live in Somerset (not including BANES or North Somerset). You can claim one funded SS&L workshop place in an academic year (Sep-June).
