Bruton School for Girls

Bruton School for Girls

Set on Sunny Hill to the west of the town amid 40 acres of grounds, with glorious views reaching to Glastonbury Tor, Bruton School for Girls is a day and boarding school for girls aged 3–18, with a co-ed pre-prep and nursery that takes boys up to the age of 7. It was recently rated ‘excellent’ and ‘outstanding’ in every way by the Independent Schools Inspectorate.

Our passion for and expertise in girls’ education means we are in the top 25% of schools that add value at GCSE. The 2014 DfE exam league tables rank us as the top performing school in Somerset for both GCSEs and for A levels at grades AAB, with two A levels in the ‘facilitating’ or tougher academic subjects. In addition, our successful Oxbridge offers and the fact that the majority of girls head off to their first-choice university indicates that our relatively small size gives everyone the chance to shine and succeed in their chosen field.

We believe in offering every girl a well-rounded education in an environment with the space to inspire, challenge, encourage, support and develop her full potential to become the amazing person she can be.
