This Saturday 11 July a groovy little festival called Bruton Reggae Fest goes on from midday to midnight. You can find tickets on www.eventbrite.co.uk or from the Green Monkey in Bruton High Street if you live around here, or on the door, or just call me on 07770387 876. We’re also on Facebook under Bruton Reggae Fest. We have the likes of Emiliyah and the Allstars, Invisible Sysyem, my own band the Beaconaires, Blue Midnight, Markie B and a whole host of others playing music inspired by but by no means limited to reggae. There’s loads of lovely Caribbean food, stalls, rum bars and lots of things for the kids (and kiddish adults) to do during the day. We move inside in the evening for the wonderful upbeat sound of Trench City, followed by all the DJs.
It’s at the Bruton (Unionist) Club, Quaperlake Street, Bruton, Somerset, BA10 0HQ. Only £10 for the whole day. I really hope you can make it. We’d love the support and benefit of your presence.
