The choir’s Carols by Candlelight concert is on Friday 16 December, 7.30pm at Bruton School for Girls. An event not to be missed! As ever, there will be mulled wine, mince pies and audience participation in an atmospheric candlelit evening of medieval Christmas music with both original and more modern settings.
We are delighted to be welcoming Frances Eustace, a leading performer in the world of Early Music. Frances played with the Orchestra of the Age of the Enlightenment for many years and she will demonstrate a variety of medieval musical instruments during the concert. Our soprano soloist Angela Ashworth will be joined by Mair Mills (soprano) and the concert will also feature Bruton Recorder Consort and Faelan Sydenham (trumpet and percussion).
Tickets £10, to include mulled wine and mince pies, from Bruton Pharmacy, Church Bridge Stores or 01749 812 281.
We are loyally supported by the Friends of Bruton Choral Society – if you would like to join their number, please contact Mary Aston on firstname.lastname@example.org.
