There may not have been a Packhorse Fair this year – it will return in 2019 – but that doesn’t mean that Bruton is missing a chance to party in the sun (hopefully).
Hauser & Wirth is hosting a festival weekend in July which will unite the gallery, restaurant, and farm with a host of circus inspired performances, family-orientated activities, vintage fairground rides, arts & crafts workshops, face painting and local food & drink stalls.
A line-up of local bands will play throughout Saturday 14th, culminating in a firework display in the evening. Celebrations and activities continue all day on Sunday, with music by local performers starting at 11 am in the marquee.
Roth Bar & Grill will serve a wood fired feast from the Outdoor Kitchen on both days, all sourced from Durslade Farm, our Kitchen Garden, and surrounding orchards. Local suppliers will also be serving up tasty treats for visitors to enjoy.
‘Alexander Calder: From the Stony River to the Sky’ will be open as usual throughout both days from 10 am – 5 pm. This major solo exhibition presents works by Alexander Calder, the majority of which have never before been exhibited in the UK. The show runs through all five gallery spaces at Hauser & Wirth Somerset with over 80 pieces, including large-scale outdoor works set within the gardens at Durslade Farm.
Saturday 14 July, 11 AM – 10.30 PM & Sunday 15 July, 11 AM – 4 PM.
