What are cookies?
A cookie is a harmless small text file sent from a website and stored in a user's web browser while a user is browsing a website. When the user browses the same website in the future, the data stored in the cookie can be retrieved by the website to notify the website of the user's previous activity.
To allow people to set the text size on the screen we need to remember the value they have chosen between pages, cookies provide us with a way of achieving this.
We anonymously log visitor paths through the site to help us identify areas of interest and to pinpoint problems people may have with the site, its design and the layout of its pages.
